As festival season descends upon us – the three weeks out of the year it is acceptable to wear a floral crown – I have to think about what I’m going to do with all the crochet that has suddenly invaded my closet, once I wake up from this festival daze. IDK what your take on all this hippie revival hullabaloo is, but for me, I think there’s a fine line between looking like Kate Moss and looking like a pile of moss. I mean, how much wispy fringe can one wear?
Anyway, I’ve assembled a list of 10 items that I think you could wear in Indio AND in real life-o. Every girl needs a long, Little House on the Prairie-vibe dress this season (they were all the rage on the Zimmermann runway) so, that’s a pretty safe bet. Plus, I like any item that doesn’t require me to shave my legs or show my cankles. I also think it’s important to stick to one colour palette. For example, I chose a deep-camel-slash-burnt-patina shade, and I picked out lots of suede. That way I can buy less items, and mix and match. One thing I’m definitely splurging on this season though? A sweet pair of flatform lace-up gladiator sandals. Enter, Stuart Weitzman Romanesque.
