My Style | Beachwear in the Winter

If you go to the beach in the winter it’s basically the Switzerland of style, a neutral ground where anything goes. In fact, the beach at any time of the year is sort of like a no man’s land of style rules and you can get away with just about anything except for an unkept bikini line.

Thankfully, it’s winter and you wouldn’t even know the state of my international affairs (especially in the Southern Hemisphere). But here I am nonetheless wearing a silk striped blouse with a most functional Nike Pro Hyperwarm hoodie on top because, duh, I’m on the beach.

Instead of bare legs, I did the ole’ leggings without covering up my bum to give you those hot mama vybz. And of course, go for the most utilitarian footwear, rubber boots by SWIMS. The Dora boot is actually the only thing about my outfit that I can get wet, effectively, without catching pneumonia. Since I’m already in the business of layering without scruples, a cashmere toque is just offside enough for you to still trust me, where a wide brim hat here would’ve resulted in me losing all style credibility – yes, even on a beach in the wintertime.

Hello! I love your dora boots. Do they run true to their size? I usually wear a size 8 USD running shoes female. Thanks!
