Carole Radziwill has to be my favourite lady on Real Housewives of New York because she is a prime example of the adage: money can’t buy you style. She is not the only one on the show with money, but she is certainly the only one with style.
The Radziwill last name comes from Polish royalty, which she inherited when she married Lee Radziwill’s son, Anthony, making her not only a Radziwill, but a Princess AND part of the Kennedy’s extended family. You see her mother-in-law, Lee, was Jackie-O’s sister and she married the Prince of Poland. Carole’s novel, “The Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating,” came much later in her life after her husband died in a plane crash along with her closest Kennedy friends.
So let’s say she’s the coolest would-be aristocrat.
Her style is further enhanced not by her beauty (she’s definitely a girl with character) but with her ability to articulate abstract ideas and logic, which really shines through next to all her half-wit co-stars (especially Aviva, yikes). She always knows how to accessories with the right measure; she never goes overboard. She never misses the mark. Her style is effortless and sophisticated with a daring side that comes out in her choice of earrings. You’ll never see overt designer branding on her but understated luxury – is that Hermès? Probably.
