Mad About Flares

Flares are back with a vengeance ready to cure all my cankle woes one bellbottom at a time. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair since December, which entailed me awkwardly stopping people in the streets and striking up a quick convo on a high speed elevator (the girl being interrogated was very helpful) in order to obtain the most sought-after information on the planet right now: which flares are worth investing in?

I have to be honest with my findings, most people said either J Brand or Paige Denim. I’m a huge fan of both so I figured whichever I would see first, I would get. In this pic, I’m rocking a pair of Paige Denim Fiona Flares (Paige wears them herself!) and I just about died over the pocket detailing – it is so flattering on the waistline. People may still look at me weird that I’ve resurrected the flare but I’m telling you, skinny jeans are passé. All you need to rock them is a pair of clogs or wedges – and if you happen to know a good tailor, a quick hem lends the flare to a whole variety of sneakers.

I’m not going to take a scissor to mine just yet. We’ve only just met!
