For the second day of fashion week, I mixed style with supporting a good cause. My 1:Face Watch is “not a watch” – it represents aid for Canadian disaster victims thanks to an amazing partnership between 1:Face and The Red Cross. There are tons of other watch colours and organizations, each represents a different cause: Water, Hunger, Education, Cancer, and so on. Going with the Americana theme of red, white and blue, I paired sporty separates with a jazzy pair of oxfords. I’ve always wanted to rock a pair of oxfords, especially after seeing The Row and Victoria Beckham pair skirts with loafers on the runway, but was always afraid of exposing my cankles to the world. That being said, now that I’m running I’ve miraculously started to lose weight in that problem area (who knew an Achilles tendon could be a candidate for lipo?) and I’m celebrating by incorporating masculine footwear into my outfits. My ankle definition never looked so good.
Well, at least Marie Claire Brazil thinks so!
