NARS Spring 2017 Colour Collection: WILDFIRE

NARS Spring 2017 Colour Collection: WILDFIRE

Oh hey there, fellow #Narsissists! I’ve been dying to share the new NARS Spring 2017 colour collection with you. To be honest, this colour collection is quite unique – in that, not every girl is used to putting burnt orange and sky blue on their face every day. So, it’s taken me some time to figure out how to successfully add these extraordinary shades to my makeup look. Good news is, I’ve totally got it down pat.

Head to my @jetset.beauty Instagram account to watch my application from start to finish, to get this look. I’ve filmed a cute little video so you can see how all the products apply and look on me. I also used some other new products that NARS has recently launched to coincide with their new Spring collection. On my cheeks, I grabbed Me First, an apricot sheen blush, that is from the Unfiltered 1 limited edition cheek palette. It’s a beautiful orange blush. I’ve been loving the new Soft Matte Compete concealers, which offer the highest coverage while still looking natural (perfect for baking). I also used the new NARS Radiance Primer, which gives my complexion a warm, pearly finish.

One thing I love about NARS new line of primers is that they have both instant and long-term benefits. The Radiance Primer, for example, promotes skin vitality over time thanks to the plant extract, Evodia Rutecarpa. Which, is commonly used in Chinese medicine to treat an arsenal of ailments including cold in a woman’s abdomen. (Side note: if you follow my trials and tribulations, you’ll know that I recently posted about getting cold air on my stomach and how I get cramps when I wear crop tops, and lots of you said it is an actual ailment in Chinese culture. So yeah, full circle, we found the cure!).

I might just slather some of that primer around my midriff.

A few of my fave products from the Spring 2017 collection? Hands down, I’m obsessed with the Velvet Shadow sticks. These are such good little secret weapons to have in your beauty kit. I use the Velvet Shadow stick in Belle-île, a shimmering Mandarin orange, on the centre of my lid after I’ve applied my eyeshadow to add a pop of colour. The texture is so unique, I don’t have to prime the lid before applying a lighter colour on top of my existing shadow (which, you’ll see many MUAs do). Basically, anywhere you need a pop of colour, the Velvet Shadow stick is your bae.

I also have fallen in love with the new blush shade from the collection (which, I didn’t wear to do this look but have been living in off-camera). It’s called Bumpy Ride and it is a shimmering candy pink. Yeah, you love it already.

Let’s Chat!

Well, I hope you guys like this look. Let me know if you have any questions about it! As you know, NARS is my go-to makeup brand (I’m getting as good as to be able to name the lip product and exact shade on people lol true story!). Let me toot my horn ok? Anyway, I’d love to know your thoughts and tips and if you’ll be purchasing anything from the collection. Leave me a comment and let’s chat!

xoxo
