PANDORA Jewelry #TheLookofYou Fall 2016

One of my favourite seasons for fashion and style is Autumn. I love the rich hues, luxurious textures and moody vibes that are characteristic of fall clothing and jewelry. Pairing jewelry with runway trends is especially important in finding my fall style. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what my style is going to be for fall, including how I plan on styling my new fall pieces from PANDORA

The runway trend I’m most excited about, and eager to shop for, is the velvet trend. Lots of designers used velvet in bags, shoes, and even dresses, blazers and pants. We saw velvet in all different colours as well. Typically, black velvet appears time and time again. This season, lots of brands have added pink and green pieces to the more classic palettes.

I paired this amazing velvet green slip dress with statement necklaces from PANDORA, one in sterling silver and the other in PANDORA Rose™. I adore the shimmering Light as a Feather pendant, and wrapped the necklace chain around twice, wearing it almost like a choker (also another big trend for Fall). To be a bit more adventurous, I chose asymmetrical earrings to accent the whole look. Basically, the latest style is to pick one long earring and one stud, and wear them together. Hence, adding a touch of asymmetry to your overall silhouette.

This Fall, I plan on spending long afternoons in the park near my house, wearing velvet in all its glory. I usually treat myself with a latte at the bakery across the street where they sell the most delicious macarons in the sweetest flavours like blueberry vanilla and rose. Maybe I’ll sit on the steps of the park and eat the entire box to myself! I can’t resist them. I love how pretty the macarons look next to my PANDORA rings too. I usually wear two or three rings at any given time; I adore the fact that they are all so easy to stack, and they don’t look over the top. That’s OTT for those who get the lingo.

For me it’s all about balancing the romance and the simplicity. Velvet can be a super rich and heavy fabric; I keep my jewelry dainty, wearing two or three thin necklaces and small rings; pretty earrings with some gorgeous crystal details to give the look some interest. And of course, my trusty ballerina flats! I am going to be wearing those until the first snowfall! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen anytime soon…

Great photos. You show Pandora well. I like the leaf and the stackable rings. I’m not so much comfortable with velvet myself but I do like the two contrasting materials.

Omgosh! Thanks so much. How sweet of you to say! Yeah, velvet isn’t so bad once you start to play with it. I’d start with black velvet and in small amounts, if you’re a velvet novice. Thanks for stopping by! Love your blog by the way. xoxo J

LOL thanks so much! Ya, you should give ’em another chance. Especially for their rings. They’ve got some cute ones I wear 24/7!
