My Style | WMCFW Day 1

My Style | WMCFW Day 1

I am writing this post from underneath a three-ply polyester blanket, which in its artificiality, is in reality quite warm. I’ve taken to cocooning since World MasterCard Fashion Week’s final show Friday night – and of course, fashion week isn’t fashion week without catching the requisite flu bug.

So here I am. Feverishly unstylish. My rose-gold hair extensions are showing. My tan has faded and I’m overall a decaying specimen of what used to be a fashion blogger. Let’s remember better days like the beginning of fashion week when I attended the first shows and wore Bazzul wool pants. I think the whole skirt over pants “skants” situation is here to stay – it’s more than a fleeting trend. Of course, we’d do it high school wearing TNA sweatpants under our kilts in the winter for that effortless, just rolled out of bed look, which was literal for me. I was obviously ahead of the times.
