My Style | Granville Island

Today is my last day on the West Coast and I’m so sad to leave! The main reason is weather related. I am loathing going back to Toronto and donning my Canada Goose (even though I can’t wait to show you my new cherry blossom Coyote fur trim). I’d much rather wear an androgynous wool coat and sneakers as a winter uniform and forgo the Dr. Zhivago apparel.

Even though I’ve been incessantly talking about purging my closet, a trip to my Dad’s place proved quite fruitful in the name of resurrecting old clothes. If you can believe it, the camel coat I’m wearing in these pics is from high school – grade 11, to be exact. I remember it like yesterday. Zara had JUST opened in Toronto. One afternoon, my right-hand girl Daniela and I discarded our Catholic school uniforms and went on a shopping spree. I got two coats, one black and one camel, with matching pants and sweaters to go with each. Somewhere inside of me a Phoebe Philo waited patiently for the chance to colour block. Ten years later…
