My Style | Neon Lake

It happens to be a daily conundrum for me: dress like a girl or dress like a boy? I know when I’ve reached the apex of androgyny; I start rummaging through my boyfriend’s ostensible side of the closet looking for that perfect hat, or scarf, and just this Monday, ankle socks with those little ‘gummy bears’ inside the heels.

As the adage goes, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

Besides, nothing feels more gender-assuring than rocking a low crotch without having to worry about jingle-jangling junk. I dunno guys, I’m just assuming that’s what it feels like to have literal balls. (I know what the figurative ones feel like, errday).

Lately, I have been obsessing over track pants. They are an essential wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or dressed down. They can be boy or girl depending on heels and accessories. In this case, I went for chucks, a bomber jacket and a neon hat. Once you’re on the neon colour scheme, feel free to throw on more bright colours like blue and pink. It’s all good.

Do you incorporate menswear separates into your wardrobe or am I the only one with penis envy here?
