My Style | Margot Tenenbaum

A vintage fur coat and vintage Claudia Carlotti sunglasses makes for a Margot Tenenbaum inspired look. The lob is just for good measure. One thing I’m currently obsessing over are my Quill and Tine touchscreen pony hair gloves. I can text, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, without ever taking them off and exposing my – gasp! – unmanicured hands. I’m actually wearing them as I write this post. Just kidding.

As we usher in the new year, it’s time for us to look back at 2014 and remember the lessons we’ve learned and the people who have come (and those who have gone). I’m not into the “new year, new me” shit as I’m always trying to evolve and find the perfect version of myself. This process is a particular source of ongoing stress, and I’m never satisfied with anything I do, anything I’ve done and the future looks so uncertain. But as Socrates cautions, “the unexamined life is not worth living,” and so, the new year will bring more introspection for me and at best, I’ll find a version of myself that lord knows isn’t perfect, but one that I can wholeheartedly accept and love.

Here’s to all the versions of our own imperfect selves!
