Vintage two-piece from Acapulco 1976; Gucci clogs; Vintage choker.
I was so honoured to be invited to the first-ever Vitamin A runway show, as I had been eyeing this brand for quite some time! Their swimwear is sexy and modern – they do an amazing long-sleeve crop top with horizontal stripes as seen on Miranda Kerr and fashion blogger, Something Navy. Deciding what to wear to the show wasn’t very challenging as the invite read: Poolside, at the Shangri-La Hotel. I called my mom straight away and asked if I could borrow her two-piece cover up from Acapulco in 1976. You guys don’t understand but I’ve been waiting years for an event to wear this number to; the blue and green floral pattern set on black is so tropical – in a chic, mysterious way. It’s like the beach at night. I paired it with my Gucci clogs and a vintage chocker necklace that I found at a furniture consignment store – and I thought I would be walking out with a new ottoman!
