My Style | Thinking Pink

My Style | Thinking Pink

That we’ve taken to calling this poor excuse for a season the ‘bi-polar vortex’, is only further indicative of a shared suffering on the precipice of a nation-wide breakdown. Break-it-down. In the pastures and meadows of the fashion blogger’s utopia, we embrace things like windchill and parkas by adding colourful touches of radiant orchid, the Pantone colour of the year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you guys already knew that.

I took my geriatric Canada Goose (purchased in 2005) to my trusted furrier, Farley Chatto – who is incidentally presenting his FW14 collection at Toronto Fashion Week this Thursday. He cringed when he saw the original coyote fur that came with the parka – it looked like a wet dog that just died somewhere, went to heaven and on the third day rose again; got run-over, died a second time, and since, has been decaying in a 7-ft deep manhole waiting for redemption.

I’m pouring one out for my old fur trim, to better days. But when you don’t have the budget for a new parka, you can resurrect your old one by switching-out the parts. Kind of like a hot rod.

Also, I’m trying out the rose-gold hair trend with new Hotheads extensions at my favourite place, Loki Hair Studio. What do you guys think? Pink fur, pink hair, don’t care!

I love rose-gold, and the fact that you dyed your hair that colour makes you my hero.

I think $200? It was a long time ago.
