Lush clothing kimono from Jean Machine // A3 romper from Jean Machine // Rag & Bone x Hunter Wellingtons // Randolph Engineering sunglasses // Fjallraven Kanken backpack
When I think of festival fashion, it’s hard not to draw inspiration from Woodstock hippies, which has now become synonymous with Coachella hip-sters. A few staples for the look: a romper, a kimono, a backpack, a floral crown (in absentia here) and of course, a pair of utility boots to combat the harsh desert earth. We were so lucky to recreate the music festival vibe shooting in the Cheltenham Badlands in Ontario (right before they are permanently closed to the public) and styling pieces from Jean Machine. Usually known for their denim (did you know they carry One Teaspoon? #hallelujah) I actually had such a fun time picking out festival-esque items like this tie-dye romper and printed kimono. I’m loving the contrast of all the blue hues with the red landscape – I could totally be at Burning Man.
Good news is, there’s a festival happening right here in downtown Toronto next weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, FIELD TRIP! The line-up includes great artists like My Morning Jacket and Alabama Shakes. The best part? I’m going to be there. Actually the real best part is that I’m giving away two tickets for Sunday, June 7th ($140 value). The tickets give you all-day access so get your sunscreen and floral crowns ready (unless you prefer a Native American Headdress – that’s ok, too).
How to win? Simply enter the contest here and don’t forget to tweet tweet tweet! (it’s open only to Ontario residents):
