When a skilled – award-winning – photographer gets in front of the camera, be afraid. Be very afraid. Such is the case with Aussie fashion star, Margaret Zhang. I first saw her at New York Fashion Week this September; she’s tiny and yet packs more style in four feet than any painfully-tall model off-duty.
Did I mention that I’ve been obsessed with her ever since? Her blog, Shine by Three, is a developer’s wet dream. I know, I just loathe using that word and cue an eye-roll every time I see it in an article but right here, right now, it is an apt description of what she’s done with coding. Don’t believe me? Check it out. I literally spent 45 minutes one day trying to find the Garamond font she uses – what you’re seeing right now is the best I could do.
Really, you should all be following her instead of me. Her photography makes me want to throw my camera off my balcony. It’s just soooooo good. I don’t know if it’s the lens, the post, the lighting – whatever it may be – I can’t life hack her photos no matter how hard I try with my current equipment.
Don’t even get me started on her food pictures.
So, instead, I’m paying homage to Miss Zhang. For her ability to complete a law degree, be a creative director, stylist and photographer, featured in countless publications and published by a bunch others. I think she’s maybe 20 years old, by the way.
I know, I hate her, too.
Margaret is all around the kind of young woman I aspire to be! It’s crazy how she juggles law school among the multitude of things that keep her busy. You shouldn’t hate her though because your blog and style is just as amazing as hers! X
