I’m going going back back to Cali Cali. And if you’ve been following me for some time, you’ll know that I’m hashtag-obsessed with tarnished desert landscapes, faded pink beach umbrellas and ladies in Lilly Pulitzer. Obviously, I’m not going to resist pulling my own Slim Aarons photoshoot in front of some iconic Palm Springs locales. Exhibit A: The Parker Hotel. This wall, which in real life is no bigger than a bus shelter, somehow photographs like the wall in Game of Thrones separating John Snow from the White Walkers. But who’s complaining?
Let’s chat five seconds about the outfit that I threw together in five seconds. The pants are from this season’s H&M’s Studio collection and they remind me of Bananas in Pyjamas. And I don’t know about you, but I’m totally fine with their muted yellow almost urination-ish tone – it makes you look tanned. They are the perfect pants for sitting on a fire escape on a hot summer day, barefoot, reading Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Or dinner at Norma’s, with a killer pair of flatforms.
Speaking of flatforms, I’m in love with my new Stuart Weitzman Romanesque sandals. They give me all the height of a high heel and all the comfort of a slipper. I could seriously dance the night away in these babies (and believe me, I plan to). Peppered the whole outfit with the latest offerings from PANDORA, one of my favourite jewelry brands to mix and match, layer and stack.
Follow along my adventures in Palm Springs over the weekend on Snapchat: justineiaboni – I’ll be headed to Coachella so if you’re not sick of the festival yet, holler at me! I’ll try to post content that isn’t same-same as everyone else cuz you know I hate that shit. Talk soon xoxoxo J!
