Ah, fashion week has come and gone. So, too, have a plethora of memorable outfits, the garments of which have now undergone an involuntary hibernation until I can look at them with eyes anew. It’s akin to wearing a new outfit out to a party that every single person you know is at – where before the event, visions of you in those brand new skinny jeans and printed blouse gave you diarrhea, after the party (and ensuing Instagram tags), barely a flutter. Such is our North American penchant for novelty. We discard old clothes like they’ve been dipped in a dark green film of you’re no longer cool, loser. Terrible, when they speak to you like that no?
So, instead of tarnishing my relationship with my clothes so prematurely in the Fall season, I decided to wear a lot of the designers’ pieces to their respective shows. You know, how the real fashion bloggers do it in NYC, Milan and Paris. My outfit changes became the talk of the tents and I honestly think it added a bit more entertainment to everybody’s week. And now, instead of having to skip over shirts, dresses and jackets hanging in my closet because I just wore them to fashion week, I packaged all of them up in nice little garment bags and handed them back to their rightful owners, like your best friend’s baby when it starts to cry.
Still crying, let’s enjoy these WMCFW moments one last time:
