Need help adding the perfect bow to your holiday gift-wrapping repertoire? Join the club. Luckily, Vyvian has been up all night mastering the art of tying the perfect bow. She put together this amazing step-by-step guide that will make elves of us all! Now all you have to do is actually start your Christmas shopping…
Oh, you’re late, too? Join the club. I mean, every time I go to do my holiday shopping I end up just buying more things for myself. Perhaps I’m just a selfish old Grinch after all. But like, everyone I know has everything they need – which, is amazing. We’ve all made it! It’s so tough to just splurge on things when you know you’re only doing it for the sake of not showing up empty-handed.
My Five-Second Christmas Rant
Personally, I’d much rather buy little presents here and there for my friends and family. Or treat them to a nice dinner every month. Truthfully, I’d much rather that than literally empty my bank account in two hours on December 23rd. Like, Christmas has just become synonymous with financial stress. Even with modest gift amounts like $100 per family member, once you add it all up, you could be down an easy G in just one night. And like, are these people even gonna use the shit you get them?
Yeah, I sound like Ebenezer. But it’s true. I would rather take my family out for a big dinner or all spend the afternoon volunteering at a shelter or hospital instead of unwrapping presents from departments stores and trying to figure out how to pay for all of it afterwards. Incidentally, I also like thoughtful gifts like a framed picture or a handwritten card. Well, I never say no to cash, either. That will always be useful no matter what!
Well, if you do plan on giving gifts this year (like, I’m judging you RN), here’s an inexpensive way to wrap them without wasting all that paper! Therefore, just tie the perfect bow in layered pieces and follow these steps to make sure you get it right.
Merry Christmas?
How to Tie the Perfect Bow
From start to finish, this bow shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to tie (and that’s if you, like me, can’t do crafts to save your life). Also, I realize now I probably should have waited for a day when I wasn’t a raging bitch to write this post. But, what can I say. No editor, no filter. Baaaaaaaaah Humbug!

So, that’s all folks! Let me know if you try doing this bow – if I can, you can. And let me know what you’ll be doing this year in terms of buying presents or just spending time with your loved ones. As the years go by, just being together seems to be the best gift of all. Leave me a comment and let’s chat!
