My Style | Balmain Boulevard

Disclaimer: Nothing in this outfit is actually from Balmain. If I could afford a fifteen hundred dollar pair of jeans, do you really think I’d still be blogging?

Er, don’t answer that.

The bestest most funnest (and amusing; thanks to Zara and again, Leandra for articulating) part about fashion is paying homage to the better-known designers whose ready-to-wear collections are both unaffordable and patently imitable. Again, Zara wins. Fast fashion enables people like me (ahem, bloggers) to scoop up the Balmain runway look for the cost of maybe one hour of chain stitching half a lapel on the real thing.

Now I really gotta level with you because I’m bad at keeping secrets and always lose at poker: my boyfriend styled this outfit for me. I am a sham. A SHAM!!!!!
