On September 28th, all of the fruits of our labours came to fruition on the big night of the much-awaited #ClarksMashup reveal. This project has been something I’ve loved to be a part of and watch unfold, develop and evolve over the past few weeks. I partnered with a glassblower and a light designer to tell the story of the Clarks Trigenic shoe, and it all culminated in a huge Clarks Crawl along Ossington Avenue. If you missed the fun-filled evening of good conversations, mind-blowing installations and swag-worthy street wear, I’m taking the time to recap the reveal right here, right now.
In total, there were three reveals that evening. My reveal of a hand-crafted glass sculpture, based on the Trigenic sole, that was wired to light up and change colours, came alongside two other interesting collaborations. Hawley and Tristan of Sidewalk Hustle partnered with a blacksmith and a DJ, while Christian Thompson of Christian Confidential worked together with a woodworker and 3D projection artists. It was so amazing to see how each group fused their talents to showcase a unique interpretation of the Clarks Trigenics. It’s like when art and fashion mix – it’s the best part of my job!
Everyone from Nathalie of Woah Style, and Amy of Les Best were there that night to experience the Clarks Mashup Crawl.
