Last week I was invited to the home of Julia West and Richard Wernham aka Toronto’s Downton Abbey for the pre-gala celebration hosted in honour of welcoming Nordstrom to Toronto! Their home is legit the most beautiful property I’ve ever seen in the city. I hope you saw my Snaps of the night to see the gorgeous swimming pool, like something out of a Roman bathhouse, and the unbelievable dessert table!!! Plus, they flew in The Three Tenors just for the occasion and let me tell you, they are even more handsome in real life. I dunno about you, but any guy singing Besame Mucho to me in falsetto basically has my heart.
I’m always so anxious when it comes to getting dressed up for these types of events. The invitation said “Business Attire” so I read that as Chanel Cruise 2016. (I see what I want to see). I was thrilled when Chanel agreed to dress me for the party, like major princess vibes happening in my inbox, and I picked out this gorgeous lace jumpsuit from their Cruise collection. I love the colour – it’s like scintillating metallic oil-spill tones, which at first doesn’t sound that appealing but in real life is so interesting and flattering. Such a unique palette to pair with the elegant texture of lace.
And of course I had to pair this with boxer braids. A big thank you to my L’Oreal Professionnel #GLAMTEAM at Brennen Demelo Studios for making me look extra cool that night. Can’t wait for the Nordstrom opening at CF Toronto Eaton Centre in September!!!!!
