Lise Watier is a Montreal-based Canadian company built by a woman, for women. Founded by Madame Watier, the cosmetic brand is just as much a story about female triumph as it is about revolutionizing beauty products. I was so happy to get an introduction to the brand via their Limited Edition Holiday 2015 collection aptly titled: Majestique.
The Holiday 2015 collection is all about celebrating women – the glam, the beauty, the allure. If there were ever a time to get dressed up and add a bit of sparkle to your makeup routine, the approaching holidays is the perfect occasion. My favourite product from the collection is, obviously, the Ombre Soufflé Suprême; a shimmering eyeshadow that uses Labrador tea antioxidants, and leaves a pearly finish. Personally, I like to dab a bit on my cheekbones to give an extra highlight. I’m obsessed with strobing!
Also in this season’s limited edition offering are the prettiest eyeshadow and blush compacts. I love when makeup packaging looks just as good as a clutch or jewelry case – the Lise Watier compacts are beautifully gold-gilded with a large mirror for easy application. And the lip lacquer and lip gloss come with a side mirror and an LED light applicator so you can reapply in dimly lit corners – how brilliant. Seriously, I was giddy when I discovered the light at the end of the lip brush.
We all know that matte lipsticks are all the rage this season and the Lise Watier Holiday collection also offers two sultry shades: Fatal Potion and Noble Nude. These new shades are everything I could ask for this holiday season – I love the deep blackberry of Fatal Potion, perfect for an evening of oysters and vodka. And of course, nude is my life, so I can never have enough nude lipstick in my makeup case. The Lise Watier nude gives a velvety matte finish, kind of like when I use concealer on my lips only with a burnt rose hue. I love that look. (And it smells like winter berries).
