My Style | Pleather on Pleather

My Style | Pleather on Pleather

A few weeks back I simultaneously declared that I would be embarking on a quest for personal style, and made a case for leather pants. Two things have happened since then: 1. I got pleather pants and 2. I subsequently got closer to my said personal style. It turns out, leather pants were the drastically missing (tragically missing?) link between me and my style goals. I can wear them hot or cold – meaning, with a décolleté silk top or with a cashmere turtleneck (or the hottest, with no top at all). I’ve been feeling so risqué lately since reading How to be Parisian Wherever You Are, and doing things like serving my man breakfast in bed if you know what I mean, the way the French do it.

I paired my new Blank NYC vegan leather pants (available at Jean Machine – I know, not just Parasuco and Silvers anymore), with a cropped pleather jacket from Members Only layered over a crisp white tunic. Between me and you, the shirt is really a beach coverup and has no business appearing in a winter weather outfit. But that will be our little secret.

Even if you gotta throw on a parka on top, I encourage all of you to embrace the pleather on pleather look (or if you’re buying the bar, leather on leather).
